A Scripture for Today, February 2nd, 2023
Matthew 10:28-31 says, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
Job 12:7-10 reads, “But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee . . .Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.“
Daniel 5:22 reads, “. . .the God in whose hand thy breath is . . .“
Psalm 66:9 reads, “Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.“
Just a reminder: Our life is in the Lord’s hands! It’s not in our hand, the hand of men, the hand of doctors, or the hand of some illness. It is in God’s hands.
